I hope 2008 is a good year for you!
Congrats on your upcoming release. I actually have a friend who worked on Wall Street, and she wrote a book about women's finances. To promote her book and establish herself as a SME, she conducted workshops and participated on panel discussions. She hired a publicist to assist with scheduling media appearances. Since she positioned herself as a SME through her professional credentials and book, she was able to secure interviews on morning shows like Good Day Atlanta.
For you, I would recommend that if you have any formal education or training that qualifies you to write a book about finances, use that to your advantage. That will give you credibility. Also, personal testimonies are essential. Demonstrate how your method has been tried, tested and proven.
I hope that helps. Best wishes with your endeavor.

Thank you for connecting with me here at Publishauthors and continued success with your novel. It sounds like a winner to me.
Uh...as far as the size of that glass of water.. You just might want a pitcher instead.. :) best wishes!
Well, like you said, both the UK and the US preach the same gospel when it comes to success. I will add quickly that success is a universal thing. Irrespective of your location.
I will definately be glad to connect with you anytime you are in the UK. I will also quickly add that their are many good bookshops in the UK, top among them is Waterstones, they are presently doing very well in book sales in the UK.
But before your book get to the bookshops, you need to invest in publicity, write a press release and get to as much media houses as possible, you could also hire a media agent to do this for you.
Till I hear from you again, take care
