Self promotion

Well, I;ve been an author now for nearly a year and I'm still strugging with promoting my work. And from what I hear, I'm not the only one.
What I have done so far though is this:

I've placed my book covers on Review and other publication websites.
I've joined half a billion groups.
I've had a book signing in my home town
I have my books in the Romantic Times Magazine
I've done chats and Blogs and interviews
I have a newsletter
I donate books to charity
Sent books to Iraq
Sent books and prizes to Romantic Times Conference and other awards benefits.

So, having done all that, what else is there I could be doing to promotoe myself and my books?

-I've done a promotion with my gym (a national franchise) where they include an 8 x10 promo sheet in their new member package announcing that one of their members has published a new book.
-My niece is dating a player on a major leauge football team and he distributing flyers to evey team member, asking them to support my project.
-I am a member of special interest (Art) sites and I announce my book to members through posts and emails.
-I hand a business card, with a picture of the book, to almost everyone I meet.
-I utilize my media contacts from past business ventures to get local radio and TV talk shows.
This is in addition to a PR agent I hired and a press release and book review campaign.
