Becoming successful in life can take a long time, if it arrives at all. Success eludes some of us all the time. And failure hangs and lurks around every corner. Why is being failure is so easy and becoming successful is really hard? No brainer, I guess.

In the publishing industry I think luck is a big factor in becoming successful. Being in the right place at the right time or knowing the right people.

Merit often seems to have little to do with it. Success is just a lottery I often think.
