Nadia Brown was born in Queens, New York but was raised, and now resides, in the sunshine state of Miami, Florida.
Each day, Nadia enjoys taking long walks for exercise ─ usually in the late evenings when the temperature is much cooler. In her spare time, she loves listening to music and, originally, started writing songs, so writing poetry was just a natural progression.
Nadia has been writing poetry for over six years and her poetry has appeared in numerous magazines and literary journals, both in print and throughout the web, including Voices Literary Magazine, Poems Niederngasse, Lily Literary Review, Awareness Magazine, Wicked Alice and Muses Review.
Unscrambled Eggs, published in 2005, is Nadia’s first full-length collection and was awarded the Poetry Book of Merit Award by the American Authors Association and has also been nominated for the "Noble" Prize for Literature Award and Allbooks Reviews Editor's Choice Awards for 2007.
Profound and riveting, this is a 60 poem book collection with poetry that enlightens and speaks the way of life and the world. The poetry from Unscrambled Eggs has a universal appeal, and is true to life in form and substance. Unscrambled Eggs was written over a five year period and is an honest and thought-provoking book that deals with everyday life issues. It is a stirring compilation of poems about living your dream and finding one's purpose. Nadia is currently working on her next collection of poems, not yet titled.
