It's for people who have a hard time making money online. I found several websites where people can get paid to do tasks. Some are tasks, some are contests, but they actually pay you to do something. It's not a get rich…

I heard that Dan Brown’s latest book was at the top of the best seller list within hours of its release. Surely an admirable accomplishment but the fact itself is somewhat misleading. Statistics must be looked at from all angles before they can be given any credence. Before I continue I would like to state that I mean no disrespect to Mr. Brown, whose work I greatly admire.
As I understand it, the Big-Box bookstores deal with the large publishers. The large publishers deal with the major league…

As I mentioned in my blog post,
"Does God Have Caller I.D.?", we authors must employ every legitimate, book-marketing tool available. What if you could send your book jacket as an e-card as often as you wish, with no limitations? Now you can.
Here is a great idea:

This year has been the year of short story sales for me. As well as the publication of my first book,
Awesome Lavratt, which is now available on Amazon and in bookstores. Awesome Lavratt is a tongue-in-cheek space opera full of mind control, passion and adventure. And all puns are intended. If you like Hitchhiker's Guide, give it a try.
Here's the short story sales:
"Jolaneering",
Nanobison, September 2008
"Your Smiling Fac…

I had another book signing at another Books A Million today. The 1st hour was terrible. I sold 1 book. The signing was for 3 hours and I knew they would be long hours. The manager had told me when we scheduled that this store never had successful book signings.
Wrong! I sold 17 books and they want me back for another signing!
I'm happy!

I had to tell everyone about today's book signing. It was at Borders in a new Mall here in NC. I met a lady a few weeks ago that had done a signing at this same store and she told me both the staff and customers were very stiff and unfriendly. She said she sold no books at all. For me it was only a 2 hr. signing so I said a little prayer that I could sell at least 2 books. My prayer was answered and then some. The staff and customers were ALL friendly and I sold the store's stock out in 1 3/4 hr…

Authors’ alert: Try your version of Seth Godin’s newest crowd attractor that rocketed his book to the top ten bestsellers at Amazon. And the book isn’t even out yet.
Here’s
what happened. About two months ago, he offered his fans the chance to be on the cover of his next book, Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us. Those who were quick to act might (might!) be among the crowd of faces on the book.
