Reality? Not yet. And, fortunately, this is not about the unfortunate Tiger Woods scandal, exactly. Martha A. Cheves A Corpse in the Soup - Morgan St. James & Phyllice Bradner, Authors

A Corpse in the Soup - Reviewed by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat Some one is sabotaging the cooking show of America's favorite Chef. Food testers are coming down with food poisoning, the Baked Alaska is blowing up and the paprika is as hot as Hades. But who would do this and why? Sunny Frazier PRICELESS PUBLICITY

Wouldn't it be nice if the writers in this group each had their own publicity agent? Publicity can cost money—but it doesn't have to. I'm signed up on BookTour.com. This nifty website is the brainchild of three San Francisco authors who use technology to connect authors with audiences. In 2006, they launched the idea to the world. Authors create a page with their bio, books, and tour dates. Venues looking for speakers list their site on BookTour. What happens next is simple: based on your zip… Continue

Martha A. Cheves Gumbo Justice - Holli Castillo, Author

Gumbo Justice - Holli Castillo, Author - Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat 'Ryan couldn't keep her thoughts from drifting back to the homicides on the short drive home. L'Roid Smith had been killed in a way common among gangs members - beaten, shot in the head execution style and left naked. It was the ultimate humiliation, and the same way he had committed his own gang murders, including the one Ryan had tried to prosecute. And Jeremiah had been beaten, the same way he… Continue

Now I’ve followed her into the NC backwoods as she tries to survive in Hell Swamp while solving the murder and gutting of Clara Banoak. Martha A. Cheves Murder, Mayhem and Mexico - Brian L. Porter, Author

This book is made up of 3 individual stories. All three are short reads and other than the setting, which is Mexico, all three are completely different. The 1st story is about the passing of Father Rodrigo and the secrets that died with him. The 2nd is about Angelina and her escape from a kidnapper. And the 3rd, which was my favorite, is about Nuna and her mysterious power to heal. This was truly a great collection of short stories.
