I'm so pleased you liked my suggestion, and also that you enjoyed 'A Study in Red' I do hope that Sarah enjoys it too.Juliet is still busily trying to finish the novel she was reading when your book arrived so that she can start it. Hopefully she'll make a start on it before too long.

I've just spent another enjoyable few minutes browsing your website. Would you think it cheeky if I made a suggestion? I'm sure that many people, me included would love to leave messages of support after reading about the wonderful work you do with the horses at Proud spirit. Have you ever thought of adding a guestbook to your site? That way, I think you'd be amazed at the number of people from around the world who just might drop in to say hello. I know I'd be proud to be one of the first to sign it if you did.

Wow, I'm glad you're hooked on 'A Study in Red'. I take it as a real compliment that you, a non-fiction devotee can have been pulled into the world of my fictional creation. I'm delighted, and thanks for that, very much. I hope you contine to enjoy it as you share Robert's journey through the dark and murky pages of the history of the Journal of the Ripper.

The Horses of Proud Spirit arrived today. What a beautiful book! I couldn't wait until Sunday and wrapped it and gave it to Juliet straight away. She is delighted with it and can't wait to begin reading it. I will let you know what she thinks of course, and will happily read it myself and write you a review if you would like (if I can ever get it off her). I have a feeling I'll soon have strict instructions to order 'Hoof Prints' which I'll be delighted to do of course.

I think that 'The Dogs of Proud Spirit' would be a great project. I wish I could write out little pack's story one day.
How nice that you have a Penny too. Life is made up of so many small coincidences don't you think? I'll be adding a pic of Penny to my other dog photos on my page soon. One of our doges, Charlie was also abandoned at the vets by his previous owners when he was seriously ill, poor mite.
