Thanks for the invite. I don't know my work schedule for next week, but will keep it in mind. I'm only about five miles from Rt. 15, so it's not too bad of a drive.
BTW, Hollywood has been more open to Christian screenplays since the Passion then its ever been. It is a good time to start the process. I actually prefer writing screenplays. However, in some ways screenplays can be a lot harder. And, bear in mind, Chris and I went through probably close to 50 rewrites. That is normal and what you can expect. And this was writing with someone who was the director/producer! My next screenplay won't be as easy. I am the sole screenwriter and expect many more rewrites. Hopefully not 50. I've done more than a dozen already.
I've been thinking of doing a blog when I get back from South America re writers who want to do screenplays. I can offer suggestions. One of the things I'm thinking of doing is offering the September Dawn screenplay as a free e-book to anyone who buys the book. Although I wrote the screenplay first, it would give a writer a good idea of how the screenplay differs from the book and perhaps help all of you who want to try to turn your book into a screenplay an idea of how to start. What do you think?
