Valerie McCormick is a wife and mother from Prince George, British Columbia. While visiting Seattle, she becomes the only witness to the brutal seaside murder of two FBI agents. When she flees to the nearest police station to report the crime, she is caught up in a web of international intrigue and danger. Suddenly, she and her family are in the sights of ruthless criminals bent on preventing her from testifying against the murderer. Even with FBI protection, Valerie is not safe. Whisked away from her family after a staged car bombing, Valerie fights back against the well-intentioned FBI to ultimately take control over her life, and those of her children, with every ounce of fury a mother can possess. If suspense thrillers are your genre, hang on for the ride as this plot twists and turns through a gripping story of murder and revenge.

It Ain't Easy, But I'm Gonna Market

Blogging is creating content that one feels is of interest to the reading public. Those of you who blog know how difficult that can be. Similar questions arise: What in my life would interest you?

There's no easy answer to that. But witnessing the inauguration last month brings to mind that what draws us together is our humanity. It's the one thing that binds all nations under God. And therefore seems like a good subject for blogging.

As a Canadian, I was moved by the inauguration. While liste… Continue

Marketing Stress: Real or Imagined?

Yesterday morning I read chapter one of Dead Witness at CFIS 93.1 FM in Prince George, BC.

I didn't realize just how stressed I'd been. In fact, up to that point, I was pretty impressed with my calm attitude. Ben Meisner is a popular radio personality in BC, and I conversed with him as if he were my neighbour. Then I sat down with Reg Feyer and recorded my first chapter without a hiccup. It airs Monday night at 6… Continue

Joylene:

I've read a number of chapters (and intend to finish the novel. You have my attention). But feel that I can safely provide a 'blurb' that you can use, now. When you get on the Internet sites, I'll add it there.

Good luck with the book,

Bill

If Chapter One doesn’t force your adrenaline pumping—you better check your pulse. You’ve ceased breathing.

Author Joylene Nowell Butler words on a white sheet of paper is the equivalent of a master painter creating a scene that comes to life on canvas in every detail. The reader will make the same journey as her characters—and sense the action, joy and sorrow, as witnessed and experienced through fictional eyes.

Ms. Butler is as talented as those whose names are featured on the bestseller list. Pack up your beach bag, suntan lotion, and a copy of Dead Witness—then lean back in your lounger and enjoy the ride.
