- My hometown:
- I live in Brick, New Jersey the safest town in America, with my husband, of thirty-seven years Ted, and my ten-year-old son Sean. Since the death of my daughter Rebecca, I have become an active member of The American Foundation for Suicide Preventiion. I have a current New Jersey nursing license, I was chosen small businessperson of the year in 1993. I also wrote and published three poems, that are in the National Library of Poetry.
- My books:
- I have only written one book, but I am in the process of writing three more. It was a very painful experience to relive all of the situations in my book, but I thought that it would help others to do so, in order to capture all of the elements that my family and I went through with my daughter's suicide. My daughter Rebecca struggled with manic depression, and bipolar disorder, since the age of fifteen. Rebecca held our family hostage with her suicidal threats, as her demons tormented her on a daily basis, until she eventually took her own life, and left us with her four-year-old son Sean, whom we have since adopted.

My Child's Final Act: Suicide
In memory of my daughter Rebecca Jean Rogers, March 25, 1972-September 21, 2001
In the year 2004, 32,439 people committed suicide in the US. Every day aproximately 80 people in the US. take their own lives, and 1,500 more attempt to. More Americans suffer from depression then coronary heart disease (7 million), cancer (6 million), and AIDS (200,000), combined. Firearms are used in more suicides then homicides. Firearms total around 60% of all suicides in the US.
