Hey,
I'm roaming like a lone cow trying to find greener pastures looking for a way out of this funk and lack. I've started this publishing company to promote my writings because I dont have the patience for elistist traditional publishinghouses to find my work not up to their standards and dictate to me what people want to read. I'm a rebel and find that self publishing is the way to go but then there is the expenses and the marketing. This is not my full time job but a serious hobby. I also paint, I'm into fashion and beauty, entreprenurial ventures so I have a lot on my plate. As long as it makes me money and pays the bills, its all that matters.
I'm currenly working on a deep fantasy/sci fi novel and have been for about a year now. I'm taking my time with it to make sure my ideas are formulated and the plot is thick. Basically it is a complex tale of race, society, religion, war, peace, love, hate, family, enemies, good and evil and what it boils down to is faith in your ability to believe in something bigger than yourself. I refuse to be one of those minority writers that pidgeon holes themselves into an inner city prose corner. I don't care to tell tales of urban woe or what's going on in the hood, I lived there and have moved on to a better life for myself. So as far as other works in the wings, mostly city based human interest dramas, supernatural/horror, politics maybe a light hearted comedy or two and maybe a Romance (I am not the romantic type but I'll take a stab at it).
