SILENCED CRY
A Sam Harper Crime Mystery

Homicide detective Sam Harper is the new officer on the beat; Silenced Cry is his calling card. Torn between guilt and suspicion, Harper tries to make sense of the events that led to his partner’s murder during a routine surveillance of a drug supplier. It quickly becomes evident that his late partner, Frank Gillies, intentionally muddied the facts. Key points don’t add up and make Harper believe Gillies is involved in illegal activities. When questions surrounding his partner’s death go unanswered, Harper suspects a cover up.

Determined to find Gillies’ killer, Harper plunges back into his work. He and his a new partner, Dave Mann are called to their first case at the Harbor View Apartments, a building marked for demolition where workers discover the skeletal remains of an infant entombed in one of the walls. The investigation into the infant’s murder opens the floodgates of questions. When the suspects in the Baby Doe case link back to Gillies, the evidence mounds as quickly as the bodies in the morgue, and the truth leads Harper to the person he least suspects.

Marta, I have written books in which I have been deeply invested. Yet none
seemed to draw publishers. This was ten years ago, things were different.
I was writing agents daily, getting form rejection slips. So I decided to
write a Crime/Private Detective book, "Skin's Exile", hoping that the genre would appeal more to publishers. My hero was Eldred Skinner, half Jewish and half Apache. Parts of it were very good. Parts of it were cartoonish. I wrote myself into
a corner and couldn't escape. My editor wrote me the nastiest letter about
my writing I've ever received. It's a longer story than that, but there's the jist of it. My novels, "The Gods Of the Gift" and "The Vice Of Courage" are different
matters entirely. They are complete (though always in revision), cohesive works of which I am very proud. "The Devil Can Wait". again, brilliant title.

Hi,
We are of simular spirit. I liked the Public T.v. deal. I also got off on your web site idea. I am still struggling in that area. Sounds like you are a kool person.

That was so very kind of you. And hey, to you, too. I'm just sitting here at the computer cranking out manuscripts. I truly love to write. Getting the out is another avenue. Drop by anytime, I'm always here. Thanks again, God Bless.

Marta,

My Tour runs through the end of the month. So far I've been pleased with it. There has been only one scheduling snafu and that was corrected promptly.

You can see the entire schedule at: http://virtualbooktoursforauthors.blogspot.com/2007/10/cullotta-virtual-book-tour-07.html.

I'll probably have to wait until the January royalty statement to get an idea of sales, but my Amazon rankings have been good and me previous mob book is moving as well.

Have a safe and happy T'giving.
