My hometown:
I was raised on the bluffs above the Missippi in Southwestern Illinois and roamed the woods of our land there as a girl. I've returned to this area now. I live in St. Louis and frequently visit my nonegenarian father at the homeplace.
My books:
"Sightlines: A Poet's Diary" is a downhome family love story beyond death told in accessible story-poems.

Thanks for the story of reading by candlelight in St. Louis. I spent 5 years in Africa, so I can surely relate. Many a night we read by our Aladin Lamps...and discovered the true meaning of treasure.

Hi Janet,
I enjoyed visiting your website. I've driven through St Louis often. I was there last summer when you had that terrible thunderstorm and there was no electricity. I had a speaking engagement on Sunday morning and it was the first time I had done so by candlelight!
