I agree. "It" doesn't help paint any picture for the reader. Let's think about weak adjectives, too. Big, small, short, tall, high, low, are flimsy at best. One person's idea of big differs from another. Without over doing it, descriptive phrases...

Available for review: 'The Hungry Dragon'

My techno-thriller, The Hungry Dragon is a 111,000 word book available for review. I'm always looking for reviewers and constructive criticism. (How else can I make the book better than it is.) If anyone is interested, I'll send the file.

Reviews obtained before publication are great for initial book promotion.

Merry Christmas, and all the best,

A favorable review for my second book, 'Infusion of Evil'

Start with weapons of mass destruction. Mix in a generous helping of nanotechnology. Add executive privilege, political infighting, and interagency power struggles. Toss in a dollop of love, sex, and a dash of guilt. And then stir the whole mixture in a pot called global terrorism. The heady broth that results is a 21st Century thriller called INFUSION OF EVIL by David S. Rosenberg.

This is a fast-moving, intricately-plotted, internationally-colored story that could easily pop up on the front page of tomorrow's morning paper. If and when it does, those headlines will scare the hell out of everyone, no matter what their status or station. Because if this story DOES come true (and recent advancements in nanotechnology strongly suggests that it COULD) no one will be safe. Not your next door neighbor. Not the high school student down the street. Not the Baptist deacon of a rural Mississipi church. Not the airline pilot flying at 35,000 feet. No, not even the president of the United States will be safe!

How could these people be killed so easily, so efficiently? By improvised explosive devices, dirty bombs, or long range missiles with nuclear warheads? Well, yes, but those techniques are very messy and definitely non-selective. Rosenberg suggests that the killers of the 21st Century (meaning TODAY)could be as normal, and common, and as widespread as bees and ants. But the bees and ants in this story are not normal, biological bees and ants. These are insect/machine hybrids that have been designed and built from the ground up, molecule by molecule. And their ability to kill on a massive scale is far beyond that of any of Darwin's simple bugs.

This is a scary book because it is built upon a premise that is growing more and more likely every day. Nanotechnology could bring about enormous and positive changes in many different fields: health care, energy, the environment, global warming, as well as the global economy. But the underlying message of this book is that nanotechnology -- when combined with greed and terrorist extremism -- could also result in new and deadly ways to wipe out Western Civilization, if not the whole human race.

Read INFUSION OF EVIL and see what tomorrow could bring.
