Thanks for posting this review! I hope other readers will also comment on this thread so we can get a good glimpse about Ravens. I also came across a pres release about two books. It seems good to me. Here's a link: http://www.prlog.org/10358817-b...

The other day I sat with Francis Hamit (author of The Shenandoah Spy) and his editor Leigh. We sat for 2 hours and discussed every facet of life, including the book which I was reading for an upcoming review. Somewhere at the end of the time we sp...

I write book reviews as well.

I have been writing book reviews this year which are published in major newspapers, magazines and online venues.

Recently I was told that I seem to have a knack at being a "book doctor" and assisted in the changes necessary to make a good novel great.

If I can be of assistance, let me know and we can discuss what it is you seek.

My circulation for reviews is now about 2 Million! I will be adding to that as the year ends. Drop by my website to see what books I have recently reviewed and those that were reviewed earlier in the year.

I never give a bad review! I just pass on the book.

Hi Clark,

You make some valid points. I know Kirkus is the most expensive reviewer that I know of, yet Publisher's Weekly and the NY Times Reviewers have much more marketing clout and are free. One just has to give them their first born to get that review lol. I'll be mailing out the book over the weekend and I thank you in advance for your time.

Will do, Clark. What do you charge for this? I have to ask as my publisher doesn't allow her authors to pay for reviews--don't know why. I do know I haven't paid for the MADDvocate review or the several newspaper reviews either. I review a lot of books myself--I enjoy it but if I reviewed as much as you I would want to get paid for my time.

Hi Clark,

Thanks for answering. I paced really fast since I write short stories so you will get through my book in half your normally unbelievable rate lol. Actually, the wrong pdf went to the printer but I am sure that the edited version had mistakes too. Mine was pubbed in September 2 ,2007. There's a special reason for that date as you will find. Instead of a galley which I would have to print out and will be bulky to read, I can sent you a new but slightly damaged paperback--some books in my last shipment got a little water damage which dried but has a few spots. Let me know and I'll mail it out to you. I appreciate the offer. Nice to hear from a feller easterner!!
