My name's Gina and I'm an artist and writer, living and working on the southwest coast of England. I live here with my husband (who is currently working on his first novel) and eight rats. I have always been passionate about art, especially Japanese art. I've been an antiquarian book dealer, a Japanese print dealer, and an Oriental antiques dealer... which translates into me now having a lot of books, prints and antiques that I couldn't bring myself to sell.
My first book, Utamaro Revealed, has just been published. After concentrating on writing for so long it's been a bit of a shock to the system to be thrown into the middle of marketing the book. I am a shy person, so the thought of my first book signing (which is in a few weeks' time), and a seminar I am going to be giving at the beginning of next year, make me quake in my boots.
Anyway, It's good to be here. And without further ado, I am going off to have a good look around.
Hi Gina,
I can understand the apprehension you must feel about your first book signing. Just know that we have all gone through that and survived. Keep in mind that you are the author and that those wanting your autograph on your book are just readers wishing that they too could be sitting where you are.
You'll do just fine.,
Hi! Evan Marshall here. Glad to be aboard. I write both fiction and nonfiction books. My nonfiction books consist of a series of writing guides called The Marshall Plan (just released as software), and also a book on nonverbal communication. My fiction so far consists of two mystery series.
I am also a literary agent specializing in representing fiction writers.
I live in Pine Brook, New Jersey, with my wife and two sons.
I've been writing since the mid 1980's and in the early 1990's took a hiatus from the craft, seeing as I was getting nowhere and getting there fast. Just after the turn of the century, I started a new work, Desting Of The Divas, and spent over 1400 hours writing and reqwriting the story to where it is today. I now have Desting Of The Divas published, by LSP Digital, a traditional paperback publisher, and I've also got five other books published POD (Lulu.com). I write in a variety of genres, but I tend to favor those with paranormal overtones. Destiny Of The Divas II - Angel of Mercy is now written, edited, and just waiting for the publisher to ask for it.

Hello, Old Friends!
Shelagh, I am embarrassed. I've been trying to join the wrong Published Authors board. It must be my age. Alice told me I would find old friends here. I'm looking forward to reading and posting.
I am a Author Assistant. I am also a writer, I am in the process of writing a non fiction book if I can say will be very controversial. I have completed a Author Assistant course and I have taken web design courses. The last course being flash. I look forward to learning from Authors who have been through the publishing process and taking some writing courses that will improve my writing skills.
I love to be connected with creative individuals.
Regards,
YvonneW
