Hi,
Glad to be here and hoping to share publishing info, especially self-publishing. I'm wondering why there are two forum pages. I'm also wondering if I'm doing this post correctly cos I can't find any instructions (Capricorns need instructions). If there are user hints, I'd appreciate a nudge in their direction. Just as I was about to sign-in SoCal surprised us with another quake. But since it didn't center in Palmdale and the La Brea Tar Pits have not errupted into Mt. Wilshire, I thought I'd just get on with this post. Thanks for being so welcoming, Shelagh.

Hi Susan,

Welcome to the forum! This is the network forum. I set up the Published Authors Forum because many of the members here couldn't figure out how to use the network and are much happier with a forum, where they can use smilies in their posts and chat informally. Please use both, you would be very welcome on the forum as much as on the network. We are a friendly bunch!

My name is Linda Nightingale. I've been writing for over 10 yrs. Won the Georgia Romance Writers Maggie Award and was a Semi-Finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel contest.

Black Swan, a Black Rosette, my upcoming release from the Wild Rose Press is a spicy vampire story with a quirky twist.

Ahhh. The Nightingale Nightmares. Sounds like a new trilogy to me

Hi Bill. Yep, been a long time since I was in Atlanta except to visit. I do return for the Romance Writers Convention occasionally. I live in Houston now.

Thanks, Shelagh. The Wild Rose Press has contracted a short story (vampire) called Black Swan which will be available soon. Exciting for me.

Hi all! After skimming through the various authors on this forum, I find myself scratching my head a bit, but that is alright. Sometimes I'm in a state of eternal confusion. Anyway, my name is Becki and my Pen name is Dakota. I've been writing seriously for the last two years and I write erotic romance. Definitely a horse of a different color. But I enjoy it! I currently have 3 novels out and a fourth to be published soon. While I do enjoy the sensuality of writing erotica, like any avid reader I need a good plot to sink my teeth into!

Aside from my writing, which is my first passion after my husband and kids, I work full time as a forklift operator at a large clothing company. I live in Iowa, a short distance from where the recent floods were. Luckily other than interrupted internet service we survived just fine. I was born and raised here and wouldn't dream of living anywhere else, even though I would love to travel.

Hi Becki. I enjoy reading erotica. My stories border on erotica. My Publishers Weekly review on my Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest semi-finalist called my sex scenes "pulp fiction sex scenes" so I guess graphic is the word!

Hi there! I'm an almost published author. My first short story, 'The Mechanic', is scheduled to be released through excessica on September 15th.

Now that the self-promotion is out of the way, here's a little about me. My real name is Sheri. Vivian Vincent is my pen name, derived from the names of both my paternal and maternal grandmothers. I've been writing on and off since high school, but just started writing erotic fiction a couple of years ago.

Surprisingly, I've gotten favorable response from my work and lots of encouragement from friends and family, too. With my writing, I also re-discovered my passion for reading. I love a good romance novel, but I'm also a big fan of mysteries and thrillers, too.

I hail from the great state of Michigan where I was born and raised. I've lived in the Detroit area my whole life, but I call Novi home. I've never been married, but I was engaged once years ago and I have no children. I work full time at an assembly plant that manufactures and distributes solenoid operated pneumatic valves. Ever see those automatic drink machines at McDonald's? Well, the company I work for makes the valves for those machines! Cool, huh?

Anyway, I've been at that job for the past fourteen years and will probably be there until I retire or they kick me out, whichever comes first. :)

While writing is my current passion, I do dabble in computer repair and I love watching hockey and basketball. I also love to curl up on the couch and watch a good movie or just kick back and listen to my mp3 player.

I hope to learn a lot from the other authors here as well as polish my writing skills to become the best writer I can be. Drop me a message sometime, I'd love to meet other authors.
